Recreates the battle of Isandlawana, which took place 22 Jan 1879 in the opening exchanges of the Anglo-Zulu war. Nice box cover art, however not a great deal inside...the game itself appears to be more suited to one half of a 2 game mag issue than of a boxed game. The map is a large hand drawn effort but quiet realistic in terms of history. The game rules fit on one sheet of paper and although short, give a fair recreation of the battle. Pleasing counters....if you like Zulu war games, try and get it as it is a quick play and simple product, as opposed to Richard Bergs excellent 'soldiers of the queen' which is as usual far more chrome orientated. Limited replay value, Zulus charge, get shot down, charge again until breaking the thin red line and then its all down hill from there for the British....real fast!!! - BoardGameGeek
