Description
In this odd adaptation of Chess, the board is removed and the pieces are simply tiles. The pieces move in the traditional fashion, including capturing. However, the game (and the pieces for that matter) is held together by the fact that each piece must always be connected to another piece, and that piece is connected to another, etc. With this arrangement, the board and the grid that the pieces move on is formed by the pieces themselves (or lack thereof). Additionally, you cannot make moves that would orphan pieces, which adds a very interesting wrinkle to the game. And to make matters worse (in a good way), there can be more than just a single opponent to defend against.Home Page (at publisher): http://www.sjgames.com/tilechess/ - BoardGameGeek
