Description
This is a fighting game of comic superheroes. The game is based on characters from Marvel comics with DC comics represented in later expansions.Each character is rated in 4 areas (3 in the first releases), energy, fighting, strength and intellect. You have 4 characters of which you place 3 in front of you and 1 behind them as a reserve. On your turn you chose 1 to attack one of your opponents front characters. From your hand you play a power card (which comes in 4 flavors, energy, fighting, strength and intellect) whose number does not exceed your characters rating in that area. Your opponent then has the opportunity to play a card that equals or exceeds it's value. If he can not you score a hit equal to the value of the card. If you manage to score 20 points of hits or hit in 3 of the 4 types you score a knockout. There are the usual special cards that characters can play that will allow you to gain an advantage but play is for the most part pretty straight forward.Knock out all four of your opponents characters and you win. - BoardGameGeek
