An original and beautifully presented game of pure strategy.Nicely cast Roman 'coins' (representing wealth) move diagonally, whilst metal columns (representing empire) jump over coins, of either color, in order to form a square formation on four adjacent circles to be victorious.Rules are very simple a double-sided A4 sheet is ample explanation, but the depth of strategy is surprisingly profound and developing the ability to assess the state of play at any given time, requires considerable application in order to play the game well. A winning situation may be engineered very quickly from a seemingly hopeless one.The tactile feel of the gaming pieces is second to none and this game is long overdue for a relaunch. - BoardGameGeek
